I have been a stay-at-home mom for most of my adult life, while also running a local beer and wine bar for the last 10 years here in Houston, Texas.
By the grace of our Lord we survived through Covid.
But, those were some of the toughest years of my life as a business owner, a mom,
and a partner in my relationship.
My relationship, unfortunately, didn't survive. When it ended I felt like a complete failure at life. Starting over at 38 seemed insurmountable. I let my daughter down and myself.
I truly began to believe I was unlovable.
However, in the years to come I was able to find myself again. Through a lot of soul searching and traveling. I have been able to close doors that needed closure and I have opened doors I never thought would open.
One important thing I have learned through this process is that we are never at rock bottom for long. We will always flow right back up when we barely realize it's happening. God has us. We are strong through him and we are carried by Him through the hard times.
I put my faith in Him every day and I believe
he brought you here to read this for a purpose.
I hope you find inspiration within yourself and give yourself grace. We all have to start somewhere.
But; if you don't know where to start yet
"just keep swimming."
